Lance Cpl. Dallin W. Jaramillo, a radio operator, with 1st Squad, 2nd Platoon, Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, takes a lunch break after posting security during an exercise with role-playing Afghans April 16. Jaramillo a Denver, Colo., native is practicing key leader engagements and patrolling to help prepare for an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan. After the deployment Jaramillo plans to try out for the Bulldogs, a semi-pro football team aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Jaramillo plans on trying out for the middle linebacker position.
