Gunnery Sgt. Gregg Bellucci, the motor transportation chief for Regimental Combat Team 8, instructs Marines on the importance of doing pre-combat checks and inspections during training at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., Oct. 18.::r::::n::"Its been proven over time that it saves lives. Concussions to lacerations to brain damage; this will protect you," said Bellucci in reference to the Kevlar helmet. "If it wasn't doing what its supposed to be doing, why have we been wearing it since World War I?" The Marines of RCT-8 are in Yuma conducting predeployment training while supporting the Weapons and Tactics Instructors Couse 1-11.
