Corporal James Leitch, a team leader with Company C, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 8, discusses the use of improvised explosive device detection dogs during the Non-commissioned Officer’s symposium Sept. 21. The two-day symposium was designed to collect ideas from NCOs serving with units in Northern Helmand province. Leitch is an Orlando, Fla. native and a 2003 graduate of Orange County Public High School.
