Marines with 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division receive instructions from Capt. Mark Robinson, 2nd Platoon Commander, Alpha Company with 2nd Recon, before beginning their live-fire run of the immediate action drills aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 21, 2015. Since the Marines are using live ammunition, safety is paramount. Due to this, the officer in charge of the range allows the Marines to use live ammunition after the Marines conduct a dry run of the training. The use of live ammunition allows them to gain a better understanding of how to operate in real combat scenarios. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Justin T Updegraff/ Released)
