A Marine with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, looks into the rifle combat optics on his M16A4 service rifle to estimate the distances of targets July 9, 2015, aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C. During the training, Marines use a variety of methods to make a decision on the range of targets, including bracketing, which allows the Marine to find an average distance based on known distances of objects in the area. Fox Co. completed the training as preparation for their upcoming assignment to the Unit Deployment Program.
