U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force-Europe 20.1, pose for a group photo before skiing with the mayor of the Bardu Kommune, Toralf Heimdal, in Setermoen, Norway, Jan. 14, 2020. The deputy commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa visited the rotational force in Norway to sustain good relations with key leaders and allies throughout the region. MRF-E focuses on regional engagements throughout Europe by conducting various exercises, arctic cold-weather and mountain-warfare training, and military-to-military engagements, which enhance overall interoperability of the U.S. Marine Corps with allies and partners.
