MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (Feb 7, 2008) - Mrs. Yvonne M. Amarh, and Petty Officer 3rd Class Eric Meza prepare a dental patient for third-molar extractions. Amarh came to the United States from Ghana, Africa to work as a journalist, but instead switched to the dental surgery field. Meza grew up in a rough area of Los Angeles and joined the Navy to get out of the city. With the desire to be a doctor, Meza chose the dental field where he has worked for the past seven years. Amarh is a dental assistant and Meza is a surgical technician, both with 2nd Dental Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group.
