Corporal Philip Dorman, a fires watch clerk with Headquarters Company, Regimental Combat Team 8, applies a self-adhesive to protect the intravenous drip from infection during a combat lifesavers course held at the regimental aid station on April 16, 2009, at Camp Ripper, Iraq. Dorman made sure to try every technique taught during the course because, “now I know exactly how to perform these lifesaving procedures on my buddy in combat.”
