Puller Outstanding Leadership Award by Lt. Gen. Keith J. Stalder, commanding general, II Marine Expeditionary Force, in a ceremony here May 15. Lance Cpl. Blake A Soileau, 19, from Zachary, La., holds his Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, with combat distinguishing device that he was awarded in a ceremony here, May 21. He received the award for exposing himself to enemy machine gun fire while stopping a explosive-laden dump truck from entering the platoon’s forward operating base. A Marine keeps a watchful eye on the perimeter of a school while an Iraqi girl walks to her class in the city of Fallujah on May 16. Brasosky and 1st Sgt. Samuel Heyward stand in front of the departing battery during the ceremony.
