The culmination of almost four months of hard work finally paid off when the Hall of Heroes was officially opened during a ceremony aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., August 8, 2011. He survived an Improvised Explosive Device blast in Ramadi, Iraq, in 2006, but didn’t let it stop him from being a Marine.
