SAQLAWIYAH, Iraq - From left to right, back: Capt. Daniel Zappa, Company A, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment commander, Maj. Chris E. Phelps, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment civil affairs team leader, Remy, an interpreter, and Iraqi Maj. Alaa Al Deen, the commander of the Iraqi troops here, meet with the city council here April 27. City leaders such as Saqlawiyah's mayor, chief of police, and numerous tribal sheiks met with Marines and Iraqi forces here to discuss security and civil-military concerns.
