MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Sergeant Brent Sheets, motor transport chief for Company B, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, left, is presented his Purple Heart Medal here Oct. 31. The 22-year-old Salisbury, N.C. native and fellow Marine, Lance Cpl. Brandon Wells, were both awarded this medal for injuries sustained after a roadside bomb detonated near their vehicle while they had been conducting security and stability operations in Iraq's Al Anbar province May 1.
