MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.- Families and friends of 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, wait anxiously for their loved ones to return from a seven-month deployment to western Iraq. The battalion conducted counter-insurgency operations in the southwest region of the Al Anbar province of Iraq. This was their third deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
