COMBAT OUTPOST RAWAH, Iraq, (Oct. 17, 2007) – Lance Cpl. Mark Efimoff (center), a squad automatic weapon gunner with Company C, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (Wolfpack), Regimental Combat Team 2, Lance Cpl. Jonathan G. Almeida (left), and Sgt. Jesse R. Walden (right), sweep across a desert valley riddled with small caves and cliffs. Company C, or Comanche, played a large role in the Wolfpack’s desert operations, and recently swept through one of the desert’s dried up wadi (oases) systems, now just a series of large barren riverbeds, caves, and cliffs.
