Navy Lt. John Gardner, an environmental health officer with Multi-National Forces-West, based out of Camp Fallujah, Iraq, meets with an Iraqi doctor who serves as his rough equivalent in the Iraqi army here, Oct. 26. The meeting between the two men, facilitated by an interpreter, was part of the first Physicians' Healthcare Conference, which was attended by 15 Iraqi doctors and healthcare administrators, and Coalition Forces medical representatives from around Anbar Province. Navy Cmdr. Edwin Taylor, regimental surgeon for Regimental Combat Team 6 and one of the coordinators of the event, said he anticipates such meetings becoming a regular occurrence.
