Sergeant John Margaritondo (center), the platoon sergeant for Weapons Platoon, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, addresses those in attendance for the Marine of the Month ceremony hosted by the Jacksonville-Onslow Military Affairs Committee March 19. Margaritondo was named March’s Marine of the Month after being recommended for the award by the sergeants major in his command.
