Sergeant Daniel Thienal, a reconnaissance Marine with 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, exits the Courthouse Bay swimming pool after completing an exercise that required them to tread water and manually inflate a flotation device March 28. The training was part of an approximately two-week course designed to prepare Marines for rigorous testing at the Marine Combatant Diver Course at the Navy Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City, Fla.
