Lance Cpl. Garrick R. Upton, an Amphibious Assault Vehicle operator with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd marine Division, drives an AAV in the Atlantic Ocean during a training mission aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, July 31, 2014. The training mission consisted of an amphibious assault with the Expeditionary Fire Support System, which is an Internally Transportable-Strike vehicle towing the 120mm mortar.
