Lance Cpl. Ryan Foster, a loader with Alpha Company, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, and a Salem, N.H., native, disembarks a muddied tank after performing a breaching exercise at Landing Zone Falcon aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 1, 2014. Foggy weather and muddy terrain made for a less than perfect scenario for a field exercise, but Capt. Padraig Flynn, the commanding officer of Alpha Co., 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division said, “Part of being a tanker is being flexible at all times. Working through the events that you don’t see coming and the issues you don’t plan on is really the test of a good company.”
