Navy Capt. Steven D. Brown, the outgoing chaplain of 2nd Marine Division, ceremoniously salutes as he enters the Protestant Chapel aboard Camp Lejeune during a ceremony in which Brown retired after 27 years of active duty military service. Brown, a native of Clawson, Mich., served five years as an enlisted Marine reservist before receiving a commission in the Navy in 1985.
